Engine 407 responds to 3 alarm fire in South Amboy

At 4:15am, The South Amboy Fire department was dispatched for a working fire on South Feltus Street. First arriving units encountered heavy smoke and fire from the garage area, which spread to the rest of the house.

A second alarm was requested, which brought MPVFC Engine 407 into South Amboy on a cover assignment.  A third alarm was transmitted, moving E407 to the scene.

Crews operated for over an hour assisting in extinguishing the stubborn house fire.  One resident was transported to the hospital for evaluation.

Help Support Engine 401

The Madison Park Volunteer Fire Company is trying to rebuild its original Engine 401. To help in the cause visit the link below and purchase a T-Shirt. You may also make a donation as well.

Engine 401 is 1936 Seagrave pumper. This engine was acquired second hand from the South Amboy Fire company in 1956. Engine 401 has seen service with several other fire companies. Currently the engine is in need of major repair and overhaul and the funds are not available to do this. We are looking for help to restore Engine 401 so it can be displayed proudly at parades and events.
